It also became an irrefutable meter of how much better he was than I could ever be. In Dean's case, this led him to stop. In my case, it caused me to own my limits.
Mr. Parker is basically...God. Simple as that. This box set is a marvel. I so look forward to your Bird book, as I so worship this particular deity.
There is something god-like about this box set. Or maybe it's just insane. Either way, I'm happy to hear and have it.
That's for sure, me too, I think it's equal parts god-like and psycho in essence...a fairly frequent mix, ie. Bug Powell, et al

The only recording I have by Uri Caine is his Wagner album, which is incredible. I like Wagner, but his take on Wagner is the best Wagner of them all.
