Great Sparks review! I just listened to the EP right before reading your review. And “They” is sublime! Very much a Sparks song but it feels like branching out a bit for them. I find it thrilling to see them continue to create at these peak levels way past the time in life when most people start to drag and/or repeat themselves - especially in an art form that is generally associated with youth and disposability. They've very much transcended/reinvented all expectations for what a pop song can be.
