I’ve been wanting to read “Misia” since reading about it in Rob Spillman’s excellent memoir “All Tomorrow’s Parties” in 2016. In that book he also recommended Roger Shattuck’s “The Banquet Years: The Origins of the Avant-Garde in France”.
"The Banquet Years" is a masterpiece. Every home needs it in its library. And now that I'm going through a Proust stage, Roger Shattuck comes up a lot.
Wow! I need a bio on Arthur Gold and Robert Fizdale!!!! I already wanted to read this bio of Misia, but now I’m DYING to read it. Thanks for this write-up.

And Gold and Fizdale are fascinating. I have a few of their albums, and they were friends of Paul Bowles, as well as playing his music.
The book is out of print, but shouldn't be challenging to find either online or in the library. Good luck!
