Thanks for your impressions. I think my favorite Dean Stockwell performance was his role as the kind, responsible brother to Harry Dean Stanton’s character in Wim Wenders’ “Paris, Texas” but he was unforgettable in “Blue Velvet” too. I love the few collages of Stockwell’s that I’ve seen—most in the “Semina Culture” book. Sorry for your loss.

Emily I was in his presence many times, and there is a photograph of all of us in one of my dad's (Wallace Berman) book of photos - but I have no clear memory of Bobby. What I do remember is his mother calling us on a regular basis trying to locate him. Sad memory.

I have seen some his art ( Tumblr ) Instagram ( his son got a Instagram account) he posts his father's art which is very interesting and thought provoking .my movies of his are blue velvet ( he made me love in dreams ) , Paris Texas ( I wasn't crazy about ending he & wife get " hung to dry" after taking care of son not even goodbye ) married to the mob seems to be an extension of ( quantum leap) Al character , the rapture is Beautiful and sad same time .something about him just touched my soul .
