I had not heard of this movie or soundtrack. I listened to the soundtrack - interesting and diverse, and fun. I loved the tunes before and after Booby Trapped, Bossa Nova Ala Boyer & Mad Millie, with the hip vibes and then morphs into a vocal chorus?? As you say, this one is also way too short. Charles Boyer gives a nice Maurice Chevalier feel...
A Legrand soundtrack always has something surprising in the mix. Sometimes he reminds me of John Zorn, in that something unexpected can turn up around the corner.
Love Legrand's film scores, but also never heard of this!! Thanks for spotlighting it!
I haven't either. One of the great things about visiting a used record store is finding albums that somehow fell through the cracks of time.
Didn't know much about him-- thanks!
Your little kind note reminds me I should put together an introduction to Legrand's recordings/music. A beginner's guide of sorts. I'll work on this.

He was a master. Full stop.
Ain't that the truth!
